Cardinals Upset Rams 18-16 on Last-Second Field Goal
The Arizona Cardinals snapped a four-game losing streak by upsetting the Los Angeles Rams 18-16 at SoFi Stadium, with Chad Ryland’s 43-yard field goal as time expired providing the winning points. Ryland made all six of Arizona’s field-goal attempts. The Cardinals went 0-for-5 in the red zone, but their defense made key stops, including two fourth-down stops and a takeaway. The win gave quarterback Jacoby Brissett his first game-winning drive for Arizona, and a late penalty helped put the decisive kick within range. The Rams fell to 2-4 and last in the NFC West; coach Sean McVay cited costly mistakes amid offensive struggles, special-teams issues and injuries.
