Como Thrash Manchester United 4-1 in Champions League

Como defeated Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League on Wednesday, extending United’s winless run to seven matches and intensifying questions about manager Michael Carrick’s future. Nico Paz scored twice and provided an assist as Cesc Fabregas’s side repeatedly broke through United’s defense. Carrick called the performance unacceptable, apologised to supporters and accepted responsibility, but said he had not considered quitting. Bruno Fernandes questioned the team’s tactics, saying United needed to press more bravely and work harder, while Carrick also criticised the players’ lack of effort. The loss renewed scrutiny of United’s recurring struggles in Europe.
