Real Madrid Demands Tebas Resign From Both Posts
Real Madrid has demanded the immediate resignation of LaLiga president Javier Tebas and his vice-presidency of the Spanish football federation after he compared the club’s communications strategy to propaganda techniques used by Nazi official Joseph Goebbels. Tebas said he was referring to methods such as repeating grievances and constructing an enemy, not Nazi ideology, but Madrid rejected that distinction and called his remarks deeply offensive and incompatible with his roles. The dispute adds to a long-running feud over Madrid’s criticism of refereeing and the Negreira case, involving payments by Barcelona to a former refereeing official. Madrid has accused Spanish football authorities of failing to respond adequately to the case and called for transparency and refereeing reform.
