Guardians Face ALCS Elimination After Game 5 Loss

The Guardians are facing elimination after losing Game 5 of the ALCS to the Rays, 3-1, leaving Cleveland down 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. Rookie Parker Messick lasted only two innings, but the bullpen kept the game close; the offense, however, again struggled to deliver timely hits. Cleveland must win Game 6 in Tampa Bay to force a decisive seventh game. Jo Adell, Brayan Rocchio and Joey Cantillo are among the Guardians who need to contribute if the team is to extend its season.
