Rays Reach World Series, Peralta Wins ALCS MVP

Freddy Peralta was named ALCS MVP after helping the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Cleveland Guardians in Game 6 and advance to the World Series. The right-hander delivered two strong starts, including six scoreless innings in Game 2, and also contributed in relief in Game 4. His postseason success marks a sharp turnaround after a difficult stint with the New York Mets and a midseason trade to Tampa Bay. The Rays will face Peralta’s former team, the Milwaukee Brewers, in the World Series.
