Dream Rout Valkyries, Take 2-1 Finals Lead
The Atlanta Dream beat the Golden State Valkyries 97-71 in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, taking a 2-1 series lead ahead of Saturday’s Game 4. Angel Reese led Atlanta with 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Rhyne Howard added 16 as the Dream shot 49% from the field and 41% from three-point range. A sellout crowd of roughly 17,000 attended at State Farm Arena, which seats far more fans than the Dream’s usual 3,500-seat Gateway Center Arena. Game 3 was moved up a day and Game 4’s tipoff was shifted earlier to accommodate scheduling conflicts; both games are being played at State Farm Arena. The Dream have announced plans to move their games to State Farm Arena starting in 2027.
