Brewers Take Game 1 Against Rays
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in World Series Game 1, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and winning their first World Series game in Milwaukee since 1982. Jacob Misiorowski allowed one run over five innings, and Christian Yelich and William Contreras drove in early runs before Jackson Chourio added an insurance run in the seventh. The Rays threatened to tie the game in the ninth, but after a replay review overturned an apparent game-ending double play, Trevor Megill struck out Jonny DeLuca with runners on second and third to secure the win. Both franchises are seeking their first championship, and Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday in Milwaukee.
