Eason's shove was unnecessary right from the start and the flagrant 2 was the right call to keep things under control.

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason was ejected in the first quarter of the team’s 128-110 season-opening win over Dallas after shoving Mavericks forward P.J. Washington in the back. Officials upgraded the initial common foul to a Flagrant 2 after review, resulting in an automatic ejection; the incident followed an earlier shove during a rebound battle. Eason recorded two points, one rebound and one steal in three minutes, marking the fourth ejection of his career. He signed a five-year contract extension with Houston in July.
