Brewers, Rays Announce World Series Rosters

The Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers have finalized their rosters for the 2026 World Series, which opens Friday in Milwaukee. Milwaukee added right-hander Brandon Woodruff, who has worked back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him since July, in place of Chad Patrick; his health remains a concern, but he could strengthen the pitching staff. The Brewers will carry 13 pitchers and 13 position players, with their position-player group unchanged. Tampa Bay added veteran left-hander Garrett Cleavinger in place of rookie Brody Hopkins and will carry 12 pitchers and 14 position players; Cleavinger’s experience and left-handedness may provide bullpen depth against Milwaukee’s left-handed hitters. The Brewers advanced by sweeping the Dodgers in the NLCS, while the Rays advanced by defeating the Guardians.
