Fever Fire GM After President Krauskopf Resigns

The Indiana Fever fired GM and COO Amber Cox on Oct. 23, 2026, hours after president Kelly Krauskopf resigned. The Athletic first reported the move. The Fever account posted, "We have announced the departure of COO and GM Amber Cox." Pacers Sports & Entertainment will conduct a national search for a replacement. Cox went 52-36 over two seasons after being hired in 2024, when Indiana drafted Caitlin Clark No. 1. The team finished 28-16 as the No. 6 seed for a third straight year and lost in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces. Stephanie White remains head coach with one year left on her contract. Earlier Cox said fanbase attacks "have no basis in reality" and "need to stop," including from media never at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Turner replied, "This is an unequivocally false statement. Players inside and outside the organization have repeatedly issued complaints with the Fever Fanbase." After the firing she posted, "What's done in the dark will always come to light," without explaining. Right-rated coverage quoted fans saying "That's a good start" and "Stephanie White, you're a** is next." A national search will fill the GM job. Clark's contract and Mitchell's free agency remain open. No center-rated coverage was in the record.
