Seahawks Stifle Chiefs in 20-3 Win

Seattle snapped a two-game losing streak with a 20-3 win over the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs, limiting Patrick Mahomes and the offense to 213 yards, 11 first downs and no red-zone trips. The Seahawks held former Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III, who had been among the NFL’s leading rushers, to 36 yards on 14 carries in his return after leaving in free agency. Seattle safety Nick Emmanwori helped disrupt Mahomes, while Sam Darnold threw for 257 yards and Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. The loss carried added significance because Seattle had not offered Walker a contract before he joined Kansas City; coach Mike Macdonald had praised Walker before the game, and Walker appeared visibly frustrated afterward.
