Blues, Hurricanes Weigh Lineup Changes

St. Louis Blues forward Alexey Toropchenko is set to return Tuesday against Montreal after missing 10 games with an upper-body injury suffered in the season opener. Coach Jim Montgomery said Toropchenko’s speed and physical forechecking would strengthen the lineup, and Jordan Binnington will start in goal; the Blues also tested Brandon Carlo alongside Philip Broberg on defense. For Carolina’s Tuesday game against Boston, Taylor Hall and Mark Jankowski were possibilities to return, though Hall left the morning skate early and did not come back; coach Rod Brind’Amour was not overly concerned. Logan Stankoven enters the game on a three-game goal streak, and Pyotr Kochetkov was expected to start after a shutout in his previous outing.
