Harry Kane Wins 2026 Men’s Ballon d’Or
Harry Kane won the 2026 men’s Ballon d’Or in London, becoming the first Englishman to receive the award since Michael Owen in 2001 and the first Bundesliga-based winner since 1996. The Bayern Munich and England striker scored 73 goals in 65 appearances during the 2025–26 season and helped England finish third at the World Cup. He beat Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé and became the first player to win the men’s Ballon d’Or and the Gerd Müller Trophy at the same ceremony. Spain’s Alexia Putellas won her third women’s Ballon d’Or, while Yamal received the men’s Young Talent award.
