UFL Unveils Colorado Stampede in Colorado Springs

The United Football League unveiled the Colorado Stampede, its new Colorado Springs franchise, at a fan event at Weidner Field on Oct. 25, 2026. The team is scheduled to make its debut on April 11, 2027, and play five home games at the downtown stadium, which it will share with the Switchbacks; season tickets start at $75. Head coach Rick Neuheisel, formerly of the University of Colorado, is set to bring the Dallas Renegades’ coaching staff and players to Colorado after the 2026 season. The team’s bison logo and colors draw on Colorado’s western heritage and local landmarks. City leaders and local businesses hope the franchise will bring visitors downtown and boost the economy, with the mayor estimating $15 million in benefits over three years.
