Dream Say Game 6 Will Be at Gateway Unless Schedule Changes
The WNBA Finals are tied 2-2 between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries, guaranteeing Game 6 in Atlanta on Thursday, Oct. 29. The venue remains unresolved: State Farm Arena, where the Dream drew large crowds for Games 3 and 4, is booked for an Atlanta Hawks game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Gateway Center Arena holds about 3,500 fans compared with State Farm’s more than 17,000. The teams, WNBA, NBA and Hawks are considering schedule changes, including moving Game 6 and potentially Game 7, but those options raise logistical concerns and reportedly require both teams’ agreement. Unless a change is approved, the Dream say Game 6 will be played at Gateway Center Arena.
