Chiefs Explore Receiver Trades Before Deadline

After a 20-3 loss to Seattle, in which Kansas City managed 213 total yards and its receivers combined for six catches and 39 yards, the Chiefs are reportedly exploring wide receiver help ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Injuries to Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton have thinned the group, and Xavier Worthy and the remaining receivers have not consistently supported Patrick Mahomes. Jets star Garrett Wilson has been discussed, including a proposed package of Worthy, a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 third-round pick, though a deal is considered highly unlikely and would depend on New York’s willingness and Kansas City’s salary-cap situation. Other names raised as possibilities include George Pickens, Calvin Ridley, Josh Downs, former Chief Hollywood Brown and Chris Godwin. Kansas City is reportedly making calls, but no specific trade has been confirmed.
