Cardinals Sign Zay Jones After Brooks Injury

The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran wide receiver Zay Jones to their practice squad after Jalen Brooks suffered a season-ending wrist injury, adding depth to a receiving group affected by Marvin Harrison Jr.’s departure. Jones, 31, returns after spending the previous two seasons in Arizona; he caught 20 passes for 267 yards before a torn Achilles ended his 2025 campaign and could be elevated to the active roster if needed. He has nine NFL seasons and 307 career catches for 3,295 yards and 18 touchdowns. Arizona also added offensive lineman Kingsley Eguakun to its active roster to provide interior-line depth amid uncertainty over Jon Gaines’s availability.
