Oregon Rallies Past No. 20 Northwestern, 34-26
Oregon snapped a three-game offensive slump with a 34-26 comeback win over No. 20 Northwestern, rallying from a 20-6 second-quarter deficit to score 21 of the final 24 points. Quarterback Dylan Raiola threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns without an interception; Dakorien Moore had seven catches for 128 yards and two scores, and freshman Brandon Smith added a rushing touchdown. The offense showed renewed aggression under interim play-caller Jay Johnson, who took over after coordinator Drew Mehringer was fired following Oregon’s loss to Illinois. Coach Dan Lanning said the Ducks needed to return to their identity after playing too conservatively. Oregon improved to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten play, amid a difficult season that includes Dante Moore’s season-ending injury and other distractions; sparse attendance reflected fan frustration.
