Jets Weigh Selling as NFL Trade Deadline Nears
With the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline approaching, the 2-5 Jets appear more likely to sell than buy as they balance deadline moves against competing next season. Breece Hall has drawn trade speculation despite signing a three-year contract in May, and the promotion of backup Braelon Allen has added to the buzz. The trade market has accelerated: Chicago acquired defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons for two first-round picks, while Indianapolis traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner; the 5-2 Bears view Simmons as a boost to their playoff hopes. Washington GM Adam Peters says the Commanders have contacted all 31 teams and are considering moves at any position after Terry McLaurin’s season-ending injury. Tennessee, the Chargers, Miami and Arizona are also among the struggling teams that could trade veterans for draft picks or younger players.
