LSU Faces No. 9 Alabama in Pivotal Matchup

No. 15 LSU hosts No. 9 Alabama in Baton Rouge on Nov. 7, a pivotal matchup as the Tigers enter a difficult closing stretch against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee. LSU coach Lane Kiffin said his team has gained momentum and called Alabama its most talented opponent so far; LSU is coming off back-to-back blowout wins, and the game could affect its playoff and conference-title prospects. One analyst ranks LSU sixth in his College Football Playoff ranking. LSU is also among the four finalists for 2027 four-star forward Qandace Samuels, alongside Rutgers, Virginia Tech and Texas.
