Kings Rally Past Senators for First Home Win

The Los Angeles Kings beat the Ottawa Senators 6-5 in overtime, opening their seven-game homestand with their first home win of the season. Quinton Byfield scored the winner at 3:37 of overtime after Los Angeles had built a 5-1 lead and Ottawa rallied with goals from Dylan Cozens, Drake Batherson and Shane Pinto, who tied the game with 1:40 left while Ottawa had pulled its goalie. Joel Armia, Artemi Panarin, Trevor Moore, Mikey Anderson and Erik Haula also scored for Los Angeles. Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke left with an upper-body injury after a boarding penalty led to Ottawa’s Hayden Hodgson being ejected.
