No. 11 Louisville Hosts Mercyhurst in Final Exhibition Game

No. 11 Louisville hosts Mercyhurst at the KFC Yum! Center in its final exhibition before the regular season, with tipoff at 7 p.m. and a livestream on ACC Network Extra. The Cardinals enter after an 89-83 exhibition win at No. 18 Kansas, but coaches and players say they still need to sharpen their play. Louisville assistant Sean Dixon said Mercyhurst’s off-ball movement—including back screens, cuts and pin-downs—will test the Cardinals’ ability to defend together. Louisville will also look to build on strong performances from its frontcourt and experienced guards in the Kansas game; the transfer-heavy team is beginning Pat Kelsey’s third season after reaching the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two years.
