Raiders’ Kirk Cousins Trade Rumors Build Before Deadline
The Raiders have lost four straight after a 3-0 start, but Kirk Cousins has thrown for 1,877 yards and 16 touchdowns against five interceptions in seven games. Coach Klint Kubiak says rookie No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza will start at some point, though not this week. ESPN analysts put the chance of Cousins being traded before the Nov. 10 deadline at 20%, citing limited quarterback demand and the Raiders’ lack of plans for an active deadline; his reworked contract carries a $1.3 million base salary. The Panthers, Giants and Vikings are listed as possible destinations, although Carolina’s inclusion has drawn skepticism given Bryce Young’s strong season. Separately, ESPN analysts identify Chargers edge-rusher Khalil Mack as a potential, relatively affordable trade target for the Cowboys and other teams, rather than the more expensive Maxx Crosby.
