The Portland Trail Blazers exercised 2027-28 team options on centers Donovan Clingan and Yang Hansen, keeping both under team control through that season. Clingan, Portland’s starting center and defensive anchor, averaged 12.1 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game in a breakout season and led the NBA in offensive rebounds. He is set to earn about $9.6 million in 2027-28 and could become a restricted free agent the following offseason if he does not sign an extension. Hansen, a 2025 first-round pick, remains a developmental prospect with limited NBA production and time spent in the G League.
