No. 4 recruit DeMarcus Henry commits to UNC

Five-star forward DeMarcus Henry, ranked No. 4 nationally in the 2027 class by 247Sports, committed to North Carolina on his 18th birthday, choosing the Tar Heels over Arkansas, Kentucky and Louisville. The 6-foot-7 prospect is the first commitment in UNC’s 2027 class and a major recruiting win for first-year coach Michael Malone. Reports say Malone’s pitch that Henry could be a primary decision-maker and have the ball frequently, along with UNC’s last official visit, helped seal the deal.
