Bengals place rookie Cashius Howell on IR after wrist surgery
The Cincinnati Bengals placed rookie defensive end Cashius Howell on injured reserve after he injured his wrist in the overtime win over the Tennessee Titans and underwent surgery. Howell, a second-round pick who appeared in all seven games, will miss at least four games under the injured-reserve rules, though the team has not provided a return timetable. His absence leaves Cincinnati thin at defensive end, with Shemar Stewart expected to have a larger role and practice-squad defender Isaiah Foskey a possible call-up. The Bengals are preparing to face the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid.
