Eight MLB Players Receive $23.15 Million Qualifying Offers

Eight impending MLB free agents received one-year qualifying offers worth $23.15 million: David Bednar, Seiya Suzuki, Randy Arozarena, Jake Bauers, Trevor Rogers, Ryan Jeffers, Brandon Lowe and Adrián Morejón. They have until Nov. 17 to accept and remain with their current teams or decline and enter free agency. If a player declines and signs with another club, his former team may receive draft-pick compensation, while the signing club may forfeit a pick. Qualifying offers are limited to eligible players who have stayed with the same team since Opening Day and have not previously received one; historically, most players have declined.
