Kansas Opens Season With 30-Point Win Over Fordham
Kansas opened its regular season against Fordham at Allen Fieldhouse on Nov. 2, winning 95-65 in the teams’ first meeting since 1977. After Fordham cut the margin to six, Kansas pulled away with a 29-6 second-half run. Purdue transfer Trey Kaufman-Renn made his Jayhawks debut, scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds in 13 minutes. The win followed exhibition losses to Louisville and Duke, which had highlighted execution and attention to detail as areas for Kansas to improve.
