Braves Retain Staff as Weiss, Sale Finalists

Atlanta will retain Walt Weiss’s entire coaching staff after his first season as manager, in which the Braves improved from 76 wins in 2025 to a 94-68 record and the NL East title. Atlanta beat Philadelphia in the Wild Card Series before losing to the Dodgers in the Division Series. Weiss is a finalist for National League Manager of the Year alongside Don Mattingly and Pat Murphy. Braves pitcher Chris Sale, who posted a 2.16 ERA over 162⅔ innings, is a finalist for the NL Cy Young alongside Jacob Misiorowski and Cristopher Sánchez. Brewers closer Trevor Megill is also a finalist for NL Reliever of the Year after helping Milwaukee win its first World Series. The Manager of the Year and Reliever of the Year winners are scheduled to be announced Nov. 10, followed by the Cy Young winner Nov. 11.
