Cowboys Face Colts Amid Taylor Trade Talk

The 3-5 Dallas Cowboys face the 2-6 Indianapolis Colts on Sunday after Dallas blew a 17-point second-half lead in an overtime loss to Arizona. Dallas ranks last in defensive EPA and allows 152.8 rushing yards per game, a potential opportunity for Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who has 610 yards and eight touchdowns. Indianapolis is weighing trade offers for Taylor and other players ahead of the deadline and may wait until after the game to decide; the Colts have also traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. Dallas could be short-handed, with safeties Caleb Downs and P.J. Locke in concussion protocol, tight end Jake Ferguson dealing with an ankle injury, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown dealing with back and hamstring issues. Dallas has a potent offense led by Dak Prescott, while Indianapolis enters on a four-game losing streak.
