Allen, Barnes Out Friday; NBA Injury Updates

Cleveland center Jarrett Allen will miss Friday’s game against Philadelphia after injuring his right knee against Oklahoma City; Evan Mobley is likely to spend more time at center, and Thomas Bryant could get additional minutes. Toronto’s Scottie Barnes will miss his first game of the season Friday because of a left adductor/groin injury, creating opportunities for Collin Murray-Boyles and Jakob Poeltl. Brooklyn rookie Brown is expected to play Saturday but is not yet cleared for both games of a back-to-back and is expected to be unavailable Sunday. Phoenix guard Jalen Green is expected to play against Orlando despite renewed hamstring concerns; Anthony Davis’s ankle tweak did not significantly limit his performance, and Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart was doubtful to return from a knee injury.
