Allgaier, Honeycutt Win NASCAR Series Championships
Justin Allgaier won his second NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship, clinching the 2026 title with a seventh-place finish at Homestead-Miami after entering the finale 22 points ahead. Jesse Love and Carson Kvapil finished second and third in the standings, 14 and 28 points behind Allgaier, who won six races during the season. Kaden Honeycutt won the Craftsman Truck Series finale and his first championship for TRICON Garage, passing Christian Eckes in the closing laps; title rival Layne Riggs finished 32nd, six laps down, after repeated tire problems. Before the Cup Series finale, Kyle Larson led Christopher Bell by 67 points and Denny Hamlin by 70, and could clinch his third title with a finish of 28th or better without stage points. Hamlin called for an internal review of Toyota and its partner teams, saying their race wins had not translated into enough championships.
