Two Skydivers Die After Parachutes Entangle 150 Feet Above Ground

Two experienced, licensed skydivers died after colliding during an organized jump over Lake Elsinore, California, on Friday. About 150 feet above the ground, their parachutes became entangled, and both suffered fatal injuries on landing. They were taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died; their identities had not been released. Skydive Elsinore said the freefall and parachute openings were normal and there was no indication of equipment failure. Authorities are investigating, and it remains unclear whether wind played any role.
