Nashville SC Sets MLS Points Record With 77
Nashville SC finished the MLS regular season with a 2-0 win over FC Cincinnati, setting a league points record with 77 and surpassing Inter Miami’s previous mark of 74. Sam Surridge scored both goals, finishing the season with 21, and goalkeeper Brian Schwake recorded a club-record 16 clean sheets. The Supporters’ Shield winners also set club and league benchmarks for wins and goals conceded, earning home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, and qualified for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup. Cincinnati’s loss, combined with Columbus’s 4-3 win over Chicago, put Cincinnati in the wild-card round against Orlando City; the winner will face Nashville. Columbus avoided the wild-card round, while Inter Miami drew 3-3 with Charlotte after giving up a three-goal lead.
