Spout Raises $2 Million for Solana Stock-Backed Loans

Spout Finance raised $2 million to develop a Solana-based platform for borrowing USDC against tokenized U.S. stocks. The planned loans would have a fixed 50% loan-to-value ratio and charge borrowers no interest; instead, Spout says it will use premiums from weekly, out-of-the-money covered calls written against pledged shares to fund lender returns. Investors include Draper Dragon, Anchorage Digital and Flow Traders, alongside strategic backing from Solana Labs and several other firms and individuals. The platform is still in development on Solana’s Devnet, with a private beta planned and no public mainnet launch date announced.
