Stabbings across towns leave one dead
In Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, police charged two people after a man was stabbed at least six times in a downtown alley on Oct. 4; the victim was released from hospital, and one of the accused, a 34-year-old man, also faces charges tied to a separate knife incident earlier that night that sent another person to hospital. In Coleraine, Northern Ireland, a man in his 30s was taken to hospital after a suspected stabbing on Railway Road; his injuries were not considered life-threatening, and police carried out an operation nearby. In Spokane, Washington, one person died after a stabbing near North Hamilton Street and East Mission Avenue, and major crimes investigators are investigating.
