Stamford Man Gets 14 Additional Months for Crack

Danny Turkvan, 55, of Stamford, was sentenced to an additional 14 months in federal prison after authorities said he continued distributing crack cocaine while out on bond and awaiting the start of an earlier prison term. Turkvan had received a 46-month sentence for his role in a southwestern Connecticut drug-trafficking conspiracy and was due to report to prison on Oct. 16, 2025. Stamford police arrested him days earlier and seized crack cocaine they said he intended to sell. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and has been in custody since his arrest; the added sentence brings his total prison term to five years.
