Stings in Georgia, Arkansas Net 16 Arrests
Separate online child-predator stings led to arrests in Georgia and Arkansas. In Emanuel County, Georgia, five men were arrested after allegedly traveling to meet someone they believed was a child; all face charges of trafficking for sexual servitude, and investigators say further arrests may follow. In a multistate operation involving Fayetteville police and state and federal partners, 11 people were arrested on suspicion of internet stalking of a child, and all but one also face charges related to traveling to have an unlawful sex act with a minor. Fayetteville police urged parents and guardians to discuss online safety with children and report suspected exploitation.
