Stray tortoiseshell kitten follows couple home and walks into their apartment

Abby Kaye Pell and her partner were walking their dog Juniper on Aug. 12 when a tiny tortoiseshell kitten started following them.

The kitten was not shy. She followed them all the way home and walked into the house as if she had lived there forever.

Abby shared it on TikTok under @abbykayepell. “So.. her name is Cleo…. ❤️ #catdistributionsystem #kittentok #rescueanimals #adoptdontshop #animalrescue,” she wrote.

Abby had never cared for a kitten before and was not planning to become a cat owner. Cleo got a warm bath, plenty of food, and a safe place to rest after life outdoors. Because she appeared to have a respiratory infection, they kept her separated from Juniper at first. Once Cleo was stable, they introduced her. Juniper had been a mother before and took an interest in the tiny newcomer. Abby turned to other cat owners online for advice on caring for her first kitten.
