A 19-year-old man, Jamie Santos Martinez, and a juvenile have been arrested in Texas in connection with the killing of 35-year-old Jorge Andino Espinal in Lafayette Parish. Deputies found Espinal dead at a residence on Despain Street and determined that his vehicle had been stolen. Investigators used surveillance-camera information and assistance from the Dallas Police Department to locate the vehicle and arrest the suspects. They are being transported to Lafayette Parish to face charges of first-degree murder and theft of a motor vehicle; the investigation is ongoing.

Seattle police investigated two separate shootings in the North Seattle area within days: more than 80 shell casings were found after Saturday morning gunfire near North 107th Street, which damaged homes and cars but caused no reported injuries.
