Taiwan Tracks 13 Chinese Ships Around Island

Taiwan’s defense ministry reported Chinese naval and government vessels operating around the island, with separate reports counting three or six naval vessels and seven official ships. Taiwan said its forces monitored the activity and deployed assets to respond; one update reported no Chinese military aircraft nearby, while another said Taiwan had tracked Chinese aircraft 163 times and ships 265 times so far that month. The reports describe the activity as part of China’s ongoing pressure around Taiwan.
