Taylor Swift Reveals 20-Year Napoleon Dynamite Joke

At a New York City Q&A following a screening of Toy Story 5, Taylor Swift said the film’s friendship between Bonnie and Blaze reminded her of her bond with longtime best friend Abigail Anderson. Swift recalled meeting Anderson after moving to Nashville at 14 and connecting over their shared sense of humor. The two still speak to each other in voices from Napoleon Dynamite, a habit Swift joked their husbands have to put up with. She said finding someone who embraces her “strange” and silly side made the film’s story especially meaningful to her.
