Advanced Navigation Plans Huntsville Manufacturing Hub
Advanced Navigation America is establishing a Positioning, Navigation and Timing Center of Excellence in Huntsville, Alabama, to develop and manufacture sensors and navigation systems for autonomous platforms operating where GPS is unavailable, including in defense, aerospace, mining and other industries. Backed by a $110 million Series C funding round, the facility will bring research, production, calibration and validation together and is expected to create 75 to 100 jobs by summer 2027, more than tripling the company’s local workforce. The U.S. manufacturing hub will complement the company’s operations in Australia and the United Kingdom, increasing production capacity and supply-chain resilience. Separately, $2 million in federal funding will support land development for the western expansion of Huntsville International Airport, part of a longer-term effort to attract aircraft maintenance and overhaul businesses and support regional industrial growth.
