Miami GTA 6 Campaign Draws Commissioner Criticism
Rockstar Games is expanding Grand Theft Auto VI promotions across Miami, including branded cars modeled on in-game vehicles, a Vice City blimp and other citywide activations ahead of the game’s planned November 2026 release. The campaign has drawn criticism from some Miami-Dade commissioners, who object to the county associating itself with a violent fictional game, while supporters say the partnership could bring revenue and argue the game is fiction. Rockstar has not disclosed the game’s development budget, and its publishing head rejected claims that it exceeded $1.5 billion. The company has 4,711 employees across 12 offices.
