Apple Unveils OLED iPad Mini Starting at $699

Apple unveiled a redesigned iPad mini, its first OLED version, with an 8.5-inch display, a thinner, lighter body and IP67 water and dust resistance. It is powered by an A20 Pro chip, which Apple says brings major performance, graphics and AI gains, and adds Wi-Fi 7, upgraded speakers and a landscape-positioned Center Stage camera. The tablet starts at $699 for 128GB Wi-Fi and $849 for cellular models; the Wi-Fi starting price is $100 above the previous model’s then-current price and $200 above its original starting price. Midnight and Starlight are the color options, and higher-storage models can be configured with optional nano-texture glass. Preorders begin October 28, and the iPad mini goes on sale November 6.
