Teen Killed, Another Charged in Knoxville Shooting

A teenager died after being shot at a home on Juniper Drive in North Knoxville on Oct. 7. Police say another 15-year-old was handling the firearm when it accidentally discharged; several other teenagers were at the home. The surviving teen was taken into custody and faces a juvenile petition for reckless homicide. Authorities have not released the youths’ identities, and the investigation is ongoing.
