Teen Sentenced to Nine Years for Fatal Drunk Driving
Eighteen-year-old Addison Bowell was sentenced in Dunn County, Wisconsin, to nine years in prison followed by seven years of extended supervision for the intoxicated-driving crash that killed 54-year-old runner Ann Seidl in March 2025. Bowell, who was 17 at the time, pleaded guilty to homicide and hit-and-run charges; she will receive credit for time already served and must surrender her driver’s license for five years. At sentencing, Bowell apologized to Seidl’s family and others affected, while prosecutors highlighted video showing her dismissive behavior after the crash. The judge also imposed conditions including abstaining from alcohol and drugs and having no contact with people connected to the case.
