Tennessee guard Hill exits exhibition with ankle injury

Tennessee guard Terrence Hill Jr. left the Volunteers’ Oct. 20 exhibition against Duke early in the first half after injuring his left ankle and did not return. Coach Rick Barnes said Hill turned the ankle when it was inadvertently stepped on; Hill later appeared on the bench with crutches, and the severity was not yet known. The transfer from VCU is expected to play a significant role in Tennessee’s backcourt, making any extended absence a potential setback as the team prepares for the season.
