Teton Wins First State Soccer Title Since 2016
Teton won its first Idaho 4A boys soccer state championship since 2016, defeating rival Sugar-Salem 4-1 in the final and finishing the season 17-2. Elliot Lifton scored inside nine minutes, and Dylan Rabago and Jero Solis added goals late in the first half as Teton’s defense and possession kept the Diggers from finding their rhythm. The rivals had advanced through the tournament after opening-round wins, setting up an all-Mountain Rivers Conference final. In girls soccer, Sugar-Salem defeated Teton to claim its fourth consecutive district title; the Diggers, who had also won the previous three state championships, overcame a challenging season and weather conditions to maintain their run of success.
