Texans Add Three to Practice Squad Amid Injuries
The Houston Texans signed linebacker Chad Muma, cornerback Jaden Davis and running back Deuce Vaughn to their practice squad as they look for roster options amid a winless start and injuries. Muma, a former third-round pick with 58 regular-season games of experience, adds depth at linebacker, where Azeez Al-Shaair, Henry To’oTo’o and E.J. Speed have been dealing with injuries. Davis, a recently medically cleared former Cardinals seventh-round pick, gives Houston another option in the secondary. Vaughn, a former Cowboys sixth-round pick who spent time with Houston during preseason, has limited NFL rushing and receiving production but could contribute as a returner. The additions offer depth rather than an immediate fix for the team’s struggles.
